My color is purple and I’m a cheerleader

Today me and Gabi was supposed to take the bus to school because kun paa had the car and he wasn't at home, he had the car at his job, he worked night-shift. So when I was ready I had been eaten 4 sandwiches. When Gabi arrived to my house I called kun mae to hear where she was and if we were going to go with her on the bus. She put the phone on, she was very busy and after 2 min she came down. She had overslept today, so I and Gabi took the bus by ourselves. Interesting because I remembered the name of our school, the name is Thapritpattana School.

The first, second and also the third lesson I had was the same, learning to give foot massage. Very boring at the end because we did the same yesterday for 2 hrs. So I was quite near to fall asleep again during the lesson. The only thing I hear when the teacher speaks is "bla bla bla blaaaaa bla blaaa bla blaa". Really I can't understand anything. You know when you look at the movie "Snobben", when the teacher speaks on the movies, it is exactly what I hear now here in Thailand.

The last lesson we had was our chosen colour sports lesson. The whole school could choose between 4 colours. Blue, purple, yellow and pink. I choose purple of course, Gaby had blue. All the students have to do a different sport, dance or singing. But for me and some other girls is it different, I don't like sport so I have to join cheerleading. Funny because I never seen one in Sweden before, and now I am one, mohahhaaha.

When the school ended I went to the cafeteria to wait until Gabys class ended. The owner of the cafeteria gave both me and Gaby 1 yummey cake/cookie each, but not only the owner, also one of the English teacher gave me and Gaby 1 cake/cookie each. Ohh my god I love it, I'm goanna be fat soon.

My bedroom

Me and Gaby had to get dressed in thai clothes for a day and walk for some hours.

Ohh yeah, me and Gaby went also to Bangkok with a couple, a man from Holland with name Jack and his wife that's thai with name Lilly. They took us to Bangkok and took us to the Royal place, to a huge market with over 500 shops, dinner in Bangkoks highest building. Next day to the floating market and later back home again. ^^

Also somedays after we came back to school did some people have to long hair, so the teacher came with the scissor and started to cut their hair off, just like that. Also did our school have like the nationalday so almost everyone had typical thai clothes on and guess what, Gaby and I had to put on some nice thai clothes on and then we had to learn to speak/sing a text (in thai) and later we had to up to stage infront of everybody and speak/sing this text, but I failed hahah, doesn't matter so much. ^^

Went to Nakhon Sawan again

Sorry that I haven't been writing for some days now. I can say that I haven't had any energy to write anything now at the nights. But let me tell you about my day today.

I woke up with my youngest sister Poo staring at me as she was lying down on my bed. Kinda scary o wake up with.

My sister and I was in my room for some hrs, I think like 2 hrs or something. But we also went down to eat mama(noodles), then I got to know that it was only me and my little sister that was at home, we were all alone. Mohaha, we destroyed the house :D Kidding ^^ We also took out the laundry that I had there for the whole night.

When the time turned 12:00 Gaby and I took the bus to Nakhon Sawan, because we both need to buy things. We walked around in Nakhon Sawan for a looong time. I bought 2 new towels, 2 t-shirts and 2 things that I will need when I clean my room. So I got to pay for everything like 490 Baht and that's almost 100 kr.

Ohh yeah I have to tell you about my favourite ice cream or what it now is. Sooooo yummey. ^^ It's different things in the bottom, I like the bred most, after that it's crushed ice and then it's something like lemonade on and something more that's very yummey. Sooooo gooooooood.

Now I have looked some at a movie and ironed my school-uniform so now I need to go to bed because I don't want to be to tired tomorrow at school.

A normal day

Today came my older little sister and teached me how to iron my school-uniform in the right way, quite so intresting because I’ve never iron something before.

Around 15.00 Gaby came to my house and kun mae came also and they told me that I and Gaby was going to a swimmingpool, good idea. So me and Gabi went near Nakhon Sawan to swim for some hours.

So after, when we came home, me and Gabi helped kun paa to make some food in a new and intresting way I´d never seen before and when the food was finished we ate it all. Kun mae told me she liked to see me eat much now because I havn't eaten so much the other days I’ve been here.

I'm totaly fine today and I'm happy, but I have a cough. I think I really need to buy new things in the big marked called Big C.

Mum = I love you don't forget that, I hope you do not cry to much.

Dad = I love you and don't forget that you either, yeah of course all of you, I hope everything at home is going fine. I miss you all so much, thinking about you all everyday.

First time in the city

I woke up many times this night, my sore throat really hurted, it had swollen up and the room was really warm, maybe around 35 C, I'm not kidding. So I was sweating like a pig, I turned on the air-conditioner for a while so it would be cooler in the room and when it got cold I turned it off. But I still couldn't sleep because I was cold-freezing.

When I got up kun mae came up to my room and told me to get downstairs because we were going to the monks to give them something to eat, so I went downstairs with my pyjamas because I didn’t have time to get dressed. I and Gaby went to the car. We went to the new house of my family, the monks were there, but I and Gabi sat in the car, we didn't go out. It was 3 monks that was coming and kun mae told Gaby to sit next to me in the frount of the car, so I and Gabi sat on 1 chair.

When we got back to my familys house I first got to learn how to clean my underwears by hand, I´m not allowed to wash them in the washing machine or not even with my other clothes. After that I took a shower, got dressed and then I and Gabi went to Nakhon Sawan by bus. The bustrip took us something about 1 hr and 30 min (it's 40 km from where I live to Nakhon Sawan's center).

In the town we didn't do so terrible much, walked around, looked at things, I took a strawberry milkshake and Gabi took an ice-coffee.

 
When we sat and waited for the bus to Chumsaeng to come I sat down while Gaby stood up. The bus came 40 minutes late and when the bus came we sat there for like 2 hrs or something, this time it was more people on the bus. Ohh yeah btw the busticket cost me 30 Baht each trip.

When we got back home went we out again, but this time my little sisters and one of their friend showed us the way to Chumsaeng’s market and where we could buy sweets and other things.

Ohh btw, sorry I didn't write anything yesterday, I was on a trip with the class to look at dead bodys, real dead bodys about people that had HIV and AIDS. Memory for life time. XD

My first day at school

I woke up at 6 o'clock in the morning because I had to make myself ready for school. Kun mae told me that I have only 30 min to make myself ready for school so I went to the shower of course as usual, after that I took on my school-uniform, and there, poooff my 30 min was gone. I had not eaten any breakfast.

Kun mae made my hair in a special way that I have to were in school and after that we went away for picking up Gaby. We went first to leave off my older sister in her school and after that to our school. When we went off the car I was like "woooooow", all the students was sitting down infront of us. Gabi and I saw that everyone was looking at us, of course because we are "falang" = foregin. I had brougth my Swedish flag because kun mae told me that the day before, she gave the flag to a student there in the school to hold on to it.

After a while all the students stod up to sing the Thai-national song I think and they also gave some presents to the best students in each class. And then, Gaby and I had to go up to the stage so everybody could see and hear us, we had to made a speach and we got some presents and flowers. I was speaking in Thai first, English second and after that I spoke in Swedish. When I spoke in Swedish did everyone give out a shocked sound, you know how it sounds like when they do "ohhh" in a shocked way. When the speach was finished we got down from there and then all the students gave us flowers, Thai-flowers.

This day in school did Gaby and I learn to dance in Thai way, almost like waltz and cha-cha. We learn to make Thai food, ohh yes we got to designe things also.

And yeah one more thing, I think they took more than 500 pics of Gaby and I, all the girls was telling Gaby "I love you, I like you", and for me the guys was just saying "hello" and so on. Haha. In our school there are most girls. But everyone in the school was very nice, they took good care of us, but sometimes I would like to say stop that, but whatever, it feels good also to been taked care of by the others. Never happend like this in my school. I think it was really fun to see how the girls tried to get closer to Gabi, some was like a cartoon, closer and stop, closer and stop. Haha you should have seen it. xD

Gaby had to cut his hair

I woke up 9 o'clock today, but my host mother had waken me up earlier also, she told me something about where I can go to eat when I wake up. I can always go to my neighbours and tell them to make me some food. I was like, ahh ok I will do that. But I didn't get for 100% what to do, I was tired and half sleeping, haha. After kun mae left my room I went to sleep again, felt wonderful.

I woke up and sweated like a pig so I went right the way to take a cold shower. But I had a big problem, I went to to take a shower and afterwards couldn’t I turn the water off so I got panic and called to my host mother that later called her friend to come into the house and show me how to turn it off. ^^ ooops. 

Under the day went I to Gabys house and we were sitting in his bedroom talking most of the day about different things, when the time turned 13:30 did some teacher for the kids come up to Gabys bedroom there we were and told us that we should go down to the classroom to teach the kids something. We went down and we were in different classrooms, I had to correct what the children had been writing in English, they had wrote different colours, yellow, blue, green, black and so on.

Later on the day started it to rain for a cople of hours, but when it stopped came someone into Gabys room and told him that it’s time to cut his hair off because of the school rules. I felt sorry for Gaby.

I saw my school for the first time

Today I woke up quite late, around 13.00. It felt really good that I had slept so long, I really needed it. So when I woke up I went down to the kitchen, tv-room, front door, garage, shop or what the room now is. Many things at the same time, haha. I said hello to my grandmother that's always down there, she started to talk a loooot in Thai to me, I was just looking at her, smiling and trying to understand and to get her to understand that I can't understand what she is telling me, really hard. I went up to get my books, dictionary but there was one problem, in my books weren't it any letters for Thai to seek words. So, what should I do?. ^^

When the time turned 16:00 my host father picked me and Gaby up and we went to the new house that I will live in about 1 month. After a while went we to pick my host mother up from school (she is a teacher) and if I remember right so it 1500 students in this school. Gaby and I went off the car and looked around in the school, that’s going to be our school soon. We saw the board outside that they had weitten “Welcome Ms. Elin Lundberg and Mr Gabriele Lorenzoni” and Gaby and I got chocked. It’s only 2 days left before I start school.

We went down to Nakhon Sawan and picked my sister up from school and then we went to a she store and buyed some school shes that I have to wear at school. Later on went we to a place called “Big C” and I buyed things for 2000 Baht (400kr) that I really were in need for, like towels.

First time I saw my house and family

Hi,

I woke up at 08:00 this morning, packed my things, checked if Gaby were ready and then we both went down and checked out from the hotel, ate breakfast and after that we both went, me and Gaby, to my represent, host mother and my host father and we went all to my host families car.

I think it's strange because I'm not use to been in a car that's driving on the left side of the road.

My host father were driving and my host mother sat on my represents lap in the front seat next to my father. Gaby and I were sitting in the back of the car. I was sitting on the left side and Gaby were sitting in the middle because he had our big bags was next to him on the seat. Yeah next to him, so the car was really overfulled.

When we got to Nakhon Sawan did my host father drive my represent back to her home and after that we went to Chumsaeng where both Gaby and I will live. My host family is really nice, they talk a lot and they have great humor. When we arrived to Chumsaeng we went to Gabys house first.

When we both got out from the car were around 20 children there and welcomed him and he got to meet his host family for the first time. Gabys house has 3 floors, the first and second floor is a kindergarden and the third floor is his own. His floor do he have a own toilet, a huge bedroom and a out place, like a balcony almost.

Back in the car, now it’s time to see my house for the first time.

My house do also have three floors. The first floor is like a shop outside and more inside in another small little room is the kitchen I think. On the second floor do I not really know what it is yet but on the third floor the floor where my bedroom and my host parents bedroom lies in. So my bedroom lies in the middle of the house and I have 1 huge window that goes to the hallway haha. I do not have a window to outside, only walls around my room.

So when I went down to first floor got I something to eat, nuddles that tasted like chicken. White I ate my host family told me about the new house and that they haven’t moved into the new house yet and it’s suppose to take about 1 more month to get finished. Later on told my host perents me that I should go to sleep because I looked so tired, I did what they told me because I was really tired.

I don't really know how long I slept for, but it was some hrs. I have an air-condition in my room, but I can't use it all the time they told me, just sometime.

I didn't wake up by myself, my younger but still the older host-sister came and nocked on the door so I would wake up. My sisters is really nice and her name in english is "Fish" and my youngest sisters name in english is "Monkey".

Ohh btw, today I was looking at my school uniform, I will start school on Tuesday. :D

And sorry for you because I won't tell you wish color it is. Hahahhahaha.

First time I met my represent and host mother

Hello, let me tell you how my day have been  

We are in total 125 ex-change-student here in Thailand, it's 4 from Norway, 3 from Island. So I'm not alone from Skandinavia but I’m still the only one from Sweden. During the day got we to learn a thai-dance-song that’s called The banana song, it’s a really funny but dorky song haha.

When the dinnertime came up were we all dressed up and most of us had decided what to do to reprecent our country, but I am the only one from Sweden so I have to come up something by myself hehe (nervous). Before doing this show and dinner are we all going to meet our host families or our represents (or both of them).

So when I had to get up to do my thing on the stage was I talking about infront of everybody (that was over 300 people) how Swedish people use to dress like, I was singing Små Grodorna (small frogs) and at the end sang I a thai song called Phak-dee of Potato. One man that worked for AFS, a important man, came up to me when I sang and gave me 100 Baht. Everybody really enjoyed when I sang and when I finished and went off the stage shaked I soooo much, but it was still awesome and so funny that I did this, you should have been there and seen it. :D

When every country had been on the stage went we up there again and then we got to meet our families or represents for the first time. All of us got a table and I got to sit next to 3 others, Gaby, Nataila and Daniel, because we are going to live in the same city. After the long dinner finished off said we goodbye to everybody and went up to our hotelrooms and packed our bags because tomorrow morning are we all going to leave to our host families and Gaby and I are gonna leave at 10.00.

AFS CAMP IN BANGKOK

Hello again dear blogg.

Me and my room-mate slept over 40 minutes, we were supposed to get up before 9 o’clock because our lesson starts at 9, but we slept of course over so when the time turned 9:40 came a AFS-representant and told us to get up so my roommate and I hurried and came around 1 hour late at the end. So we didn’t get any breakfast becuse of this, to bad. In the class had we a lot of activities about different things and it was really funny do experiense all this stuffs and games.

Around 16.00 got we a break for 2 hours and we all, or most of us, went out to the pool to hang out or swimming. The most people in the pool played the normal game when someone is sitting on another ones sholders and try to push the others down that’s doing the same. I also went up on someones shoulders but of course was I the first one to loose, but the second time won I. After I won went I and the Italian guy Gabriele to another part of the pool just to hang out, I hink he is really cute and that it’s nice to talk with him. He told me to call him Gaby.

When the time turned 18.00 had we to get back to the class again, when we got there did we all to be in a group and I got group number 5. Every group had to go to a station so we should listen and learn about differen things in different station, for example were one station about thai rules, how the toilets is like, food, words, letters and so on. Quite interesting because you really learn a lot.

The class finished off today 20.30. Our AFS-reprecentent told us to go ot bed at 23.00, but of course everybody stayed up longer.

I went with the Italians because they’re so fun to hang out with. When we all went down to the basic floor did Gaby forget something on the second floor so I followed him to get what he forgot.

And when he found it didn’t we go downstairs to the others but instead stayed we in the room talking about different things like why we decided to come to thailand and so on.

Hello you my dear blogg.

Let's see,

I woke up something around 6:30 and my mum and Emelie and I made ourself ready to go to Stockholm. But before I left took I goodbye to my dear best friend Jenny. (Jenny, I love the gifts you gave me, I have the necklase on now in Thailand).

I took goodbye to my crying sister and mother before I went into the gate. While I waited to get on the airplain went I first to the taxfree and bought myself some Lakris pipes so I could have something to eat while sitting in the airplane. You know, 13 hrs is a loooong time, so when the time turned 14:45 did the airplane leave Sweden. This airplane landed in Paris and there I got to wait about 45 minutes untill I had to get on the next flight to Bangkok.

While sitting on the second airplane that was going to Bangkok could I choose to see among 6 different types of movies, what kind of music, games and everything, it’s like a computer full with awesome things, I really do like Air France. As I were sitting for many hours couldn’t I sleep because I just woke up all the time so I watched some movies instead. When I arrived to Bangkok were the time 19.00 loacal time (14.00 swedish time). This airport Survarnabhumi is a lot bigger than the other airport that I arrived to 2006.

While I waited for to get my bags came a AFS-reprecentant up to me and helped me to get my bags and after I got my bags were we waiting for some others AFS-students. When everyone were gathered went we all into a minivan that took around 45 minutes to get us all to our hotel. In the hotel came another reprecent show us to a aula and while we were walking were I so facinated because this hotel is really beautiful, you shouold just know, so when we got to the aula was there a lot of students were already sitting down, we were listening to the leaders about thai things and showed us who is going to be our teacher in which part of the country we will live in.

Every student here seems to be very kind and friendly, I also found a guy that’s emo, he is from Brasil or something, he speak Spanish. I also found the Italian guy that’s going to be in the same school as me and we both are going to live at Chumsaeng, his name is Gabriele.
